Aquarium setup and maintenance
The main goal of the aquarium maintenance is to ensure the optimal health, appearance, and growth of aquatic plants and inhabitants creating a balanced and aesthetically pleasing environment.
The aquarium maintenance can be performed in weekly or bi-weekly basis (based on the maturity level of the planted aquarium and as agreed with the client)
The scope of work involved in aquarium maintenance services can vary depending on the specific services offered and the client's needs. However, here is a general list of tasks that may be included in the maintenance service package.


Water Quality
Management:
§ Regular testing of water parameters (pH, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, TDS, temperature etc.).
§ Adjusting water parameters as necessary to maintain optimal conditions for plant growth and fish health.
§ Conducting partial water changes to remove accumulated toxins.

Aquatic
Plant Care:
§ Pruning and trimming of aquatic plants to control growth and maintain the desired aesthetic.
§ Removal of dead or decaying plant matter to prevent water quality issues.
§ Fertilization as per the specific needs of the plant species.

Filtration System
Maintenance:
§ Regular examination of the aquarium filtration system to ensure it is operating efficiently.
§ Scheduled replacement of filter media as per manufacturer recommendations.
§ Rinsing or cleaning mechanical filtration media to remove debris and prevent clogs.

Substrate
Maintenance:
§ Vacuuming the substrate to remove debris and detritus.
§ Checking and replenishing substrate nutrients if required.
§ Ensuring proper aeration and circulation to prevent anaerobic conditions.

Aquascaping &
Décor:
§ Cleaning and maintaining hardscape elements, such as rocks and driftwood.
§ Adjusting and rearranging decor elements as needed for visual appeal.

Fish & Invertebrate
Care:
§ Monitoring the health and behavior of fish and invertebrates.
§ Introducing new aquatic life if requested by the client.

Algae
Control:
§ Identifying and addressing algae issues promptly.
§ Implementing control measures, such as water change, adjusting lighting duration and intensity etc.
§ Manual removal of algae as necessary.

Equipment
Check:
§ Regular inspection of aquarium equipment like lights, CO2 system, timers etc for proper functioning.
§ Replacing equipment components as needed, such as CO2 cylinders.
